Aiken Co., SC – Fatal Motorcycle and Car Crash on I-20

Aiken County, SC (December 15, 2025) – A fatal collision involving a motorcycle and a passenger vehicle occurred on December 15 on Interstate 20 in Aiken County. According to the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the crash happened around 8:35 p.m. in the westbound lanes near the 13-mile marker. Authorities said 42-year-old Kyle L. Barron was riding a 2018 Indian motorcycle when he struck the rear of a Ford Fusion.

Barron sustained severe injuries and was transported to Wellstar MCG Hospital, where he later succumbed to his injuries on Saturday. The driver of the Ford Fusion remained at the scene and cooperated with investigators. Traffic was slowed for an extended period as troopers conducted an on-scene investigation. The Aiken County Coroner’s Office and SCHP continue to review the circumstances leading up to the crash.
