Arlington, TX – Fatal DUI Crash on I-20 Near Cooper St. Leaves One Dead

Arlington, TX (March 23, 2025) – A tragic accident on Interstate 20 near Cooper Street resulted in the death of a 22-year-old man late Saturday night, March 22. According to the Arlington Police Department, the crash occurred at the intersection of I-20 and Bowen Road when a suspected drunk driver collided with the victim’s vehicle. Emergency responders arrived at the scene and confirmed that the young man had suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver responsible for the crash was taken into custody on charges of intoxicated driving and vehicular manslaughter.

Authorities have not released the names of those involved as they continue their investigation into the incident. Traffic in the area was severely impacted as police worked to clear the wreckage and conduct their preliminary inquiries. The Texas Department of Transportation assisted in managing road closures while law enforcement collected evidence.
