Arlington, TX – Motorcyclist Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash on I-20/Collins St.

Arlington, TX (March 17, 2025) – A motorcyclist sustained injuries after being struck and thrown from his bike by a hit-and-run driver on the evening of March 15, on Interstate 20 westbound near Collins Street in Arlington around 7:30 p.m. According to the Arlington Police Department, officers arrived at the scene and found a 30-year-old male motorcyclist lying on the roadway. Emergency responders quickly assessed his condition before transporting him to a local hospital for treatment. Authorities confirmed that his injuries were non-life-threatening.

Preliminary investigations revealed that a dark-colored SUV attempted to change lanes when it collided with the motorcycle. The impact caused the rider to be violently thrown from his bike. Instead of stopping to render aid, the driver of the SUV fled the scene, continuing westbound on I-20. No other injuries were reported, but police are actively searching for the suspect vehicle.
