Atlanta, GA – Nine Injured in Bus-SUV Crash on I-20/Windsor St

Atlanta, GA (June 3, 2024) – A serious crash involving a MARTA bus and a Chevrolet Equinox resulted in injuries to nine people on June 3. The accident occurred at around 2:20 p.m. on I-20 West/Windsor Street. According to the Georgia State Patrol, the incident happened when the Chevrolet Equinox, traveling on the ramp from I-20 west to Windsor Street, collided with the left front of the MARTA bus, which was traveling south on Windsor Street. The MARTA bus was carrying passengers at the time of the accident. First responders, including MARTA Police and Georgia State Patrol troopers, arrived promptly at the scene. The injured individuals, all passengers on the bus, were transported to Emory University Hospital Midtown for medical evaluation and treatment. The current condition of the driver of the Equinox has not been disclosed. The Georgia State Patrol is conducting an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash.
