Atlanta, GA – Two Hurt After Two-Car Crash on I-20/Flat Shoals Rd.

Atlanta, GA (April 29, 2025) – A two-vehicle collision early Tuesday morning, April 29, led to a serious car fire and left two women hospitalized on the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 near Flat Shoals Road in DeKalb County. The crash occurred around 1:45 a.m., prompting an immediate response from DeKalb County Police. Upon arrival, officers found that one of the vehicles had caught fire due to the impact of the collision. Fire crews were dispatched to extinguish the flames while paramedics assessed the injured. One of the drivers sustained critical injuries and was transported to a local hospital for emergency care. The other driver, while injured, is expected to recover.  The events leading up to the collision remain under investigation. Traffic was diverted as police and fire officials worked to safely reopen the roadway.
