Calhoun, LA – Fatal Crash on I-20 Claims Young Driver’s Life
Calhoun, LA (December 22, 2025) – A tragic two-vehicle crash on Interstate 20 in Calhoun claimed the life of a young Pennsylvania man on Saturday, December 20. Louisiana State Police Troop F reported that the collision occurred shortly before 1:00 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-20 near milepost 103. Investigators determined that a 2023 Toyota Corolla driven by 22-year-old Braydyn McIlroy of Sunbury, Pennsylvania, was traveling with its emergency flashers activated when it was struck from behind by a 2022 Ford F-150.
The impact caused severe damage to the Corolla. Despite wearing a seatbelt, McIlroy sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Ford F-150 was also properly restrained and did not report injuries. Authorities stated that impairment is not suspected, though routine toxicology testing was conducted as part of the investigation.
Louisiana State Police continue to investigate the crash.
