Coaling, AL – Injuries Reported in Crash on I-20/59 at University Blvd. Exit

Coaling, AL (April 23, 2025) – A multi-vehicle accident on the westbound side of I-20/59 near Exit 79 (US-11/University Boulevard) resulted in multiple injuries on April 23, according to the Alabama Department of Transportation (ALDOT). The crash occurred just before noon at Mile Marker 83 and involved several vehicles. Alabama State Troopers responded swiftly to the scene and found several individuals with varying degrees of injuries. Emergency medical personnel administered first aid at the scene before transporting the injured victims for further evaluation. The cause of the crash remains under investigation by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA).
