Dallas, TX – Fatal Multi-Vehicle Accident on I-20 at Wheatland Rd

Dallas, TX (May 19, 2024) – The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office Traffic Deputies responded to a fatal multi-vehicle accident on eastbound I-20 at Wheatland Road on May 19. The crash occurred in the early morning and involved several vehicles, resulting in significant lane closures. Two left lanes were blocked due to the presence of the involved and emergency vehicles. Authorities confirmed that at least one person was killed in the accident. Other individuals sustained injuries and were provided on-site assessment by first responders before being transported to nearby medical facilities for further treatment. Emergency crews worked to clear the scene and investigate the cause of the collision.
