Dallas, TX – Fatal Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-20 at Hwy 310 Involving 18-Wheeler

Dallas, TX (February 16, 2025) – A devastating multi-vehicle accident on Interstate 20 at Highway 310 in southern Dallas claimed multiple lives early Sunday morning, February 16. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office reported the crash occurred in the eastbound lanes around 2:40 a.m., with TxDOT cameras showing smoke rising from below the I-20 bridge. Preliminary reports indicate that an 18-wheeler fell from the overpass onto the service road below, colliding with a box truck and a pickup truck. The box truck sustained severe fire damage to its cab, while the pickup truck was towed from the scene.

Emergency responders, including local fire and rescue teams, worked tirelessly to extinguish the flames and assess the situation. The exact number of fatalities remains unclear. The Dallas County Sheriff’s Office is leading the investigation to determine the cause of the crash.
