Decatur, GA – I-20 Accident near Wesley Chapel Rd Ends in Injuries

Decatur, GA (March 6, 2023) – Authorities were called to provide assistance at the scene of a motor vehicle accident in the Decatur area that sent at least one person to an area hospital with injuries.

Calls for help came in just before 12:30 p.m. on March 5.

According to officials, a collision between vehicles blocked the two right lanes of travel on the eastbound side of Interstate 20. The incident caused delays in the area near Exit 68 at Wesley Chapel Road.

Emergency officials closed off multiple lanes in the area as they worked to clear the scene and provide assistance to the injured victims. At least one person was transported to a local hospital for further medical care.

The circumstances surrounding the accident are currently being investigated.
