DeKalb Co., GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-20 Leaves Injuries/Panola Rd Exit

DeKalb County, GA (April 7, 2025) – On the morning of April 7, several people sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle collision along eastbound Interstate 20 just before the Panola Road Exit (Exit 71). Georgia State Patrol reported that the crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. when at least three vehicles were involved in a chain-reaction collision during rush-hour traffic. Emergency responders from DeKalb County Fire and Rescue arrived swiftly and provided first aid to injured parties. Several individuals were transported to nearby Emory Hillandale Hospital with moderate, non-life-threatening injuries for further evaluation. Traffic was severely impacted for over an hour as officers investigated the scene and cleared the wreckage. Authorities continue to investigate the exact cause of the crash.
