DeKalb Co., GA – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-20 Near Panola Rd. Leads to Injuries

DeKalb County, GA (April 25, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 just past Panola Road (Exit 71) on April 25 resulted in reported injuries in DeKalb County. The crash, which occurred during morning commute hours, involved multiple vehicles and prompted an immediate response from the Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) and the Georgia State Patrol (GSP).

Emergency personnel were dispatched to assess the scene and provide first aid. Although the exact number of injured individuals has not yet been released, responders confirmed that one person sustained injuries. On-site medical assessments were conducted, and one of the injured parties was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The extent of the injuries is undisclosed at this time. GSP has since launched an investigation to determine the events that led to the crash.
