The crash, which occurred around 3:30 a.m., involved a Ram 3500 truck. At least two other tractor-trailers were also involved in the accident. Emergency responders from the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office and the Georgia State Patrol quickly arrived at the scene to assess the situation. Fortunately, despite the severity of the crash, only non-life-threatening injuries were reported, and on-site medical assistance was provided. Crews worked diligently to clear the wreckage and debris from the highway. Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
