Fairfield, AL – Injury Crash on I-20/59 EB Near Valley Rd Leaves One Injured

Fairfield, AL (November 13, 2025) – An injury-causing multi-vehicle collision was reported Thursday morning, November 13, on the eastbound lanes of I-20/59 near the Valley Road–Fairfield exit, according to ALDOT/ALGO officials. The crash occurred shortly before midday when at least two vehicles collided while merging near Exit 118, creating a sudden traffic backup in the area.

Fairfield Police and Alabama State Troopers arrived quickly and found one occupant suffering from moderate injuries. The injured individual received on-site medical assessment before being transported to a nearby hospital for additional care.

Crews worked for nearly an hour to clear debris and move damaged vehicles from the roadway. Authorities are still investigating the events leading up to the crash.
