Irondale, AL – Injury Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-20 WB/Old Leeds Rd

Irondale, AL (December 11, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on I-20 westbound before Old Leeds Road left injuries on Thursday morning, December 11. The Alabama Department of Transportation reported the crash shortly after it occurred, noting that at least two vehicles collided in the westbound lanes near Exit 135. Drivers reported a significant slowdown due to damaged vehicles blocking portions of the roadway.

First units from the Irondale Police Department arrived quickly and began assessing victims at the scene. One individual sustained moderate injuries and required transportation to a nearby hospital for further evaluation. Others were treated on-site for minor pain and discomfort. The crash caused extended delays as officers redirected traffic and tow crews worked to remove the wreckage.

Authorities have not yet released the identities of those involved. Investigators are now reviewing roadway conditions and driver statements to determine what led to the collision.
