Jackson, MS – Woman and Child Injured in Collision with 18-Wheeler on I-20 E
Jackson, MS (February 6, 2025) – A woman and her child sustained injuries following a crash involving a Honda and an 18-wheeler on I-20 East in Jackson on Thursday, February 6. The accident occurred just past the Highway 18 and Robinson Road exit. According to Detective Tommie Brown of the Jackson Police Department, the woman was driving her Honda in the right lane when an 18-wheeler in the left lane struck her. The impact caused significant damage to the vehicle, but the injuries sustained were reported as non-life-threatening. Emergency responders arrived at the scene to assess the victims. The woman and her child received medical evaluations, and while they did not require immediate hospitalization, they were advised to seek further medical attention if needed. Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
