St. Clair Co., AL – Multi-Vehicle Injury Crash on I-20 W

St. Clair County, AL (December 21, 2025) – Injuries were reported following a multi-vehicle crash on Saturday, December 21, on westbound Interstate 20 in St. Clair County, according to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA). The collision occurred around 4:40 p.m. near mile marker 164 in the Lincoln area and involved several vehicles traveling west.

State troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division responded to the scene and found multiple damaged vehicles blocking traffic lanes. Several individuals sustained injuries in the crash and were evaluated by medical personnel. At least one injured person was transported to a nearby medical facility for further treatment, while others received on-site assessment for minor injuries.

Due to the extent of the crash and debris across the roadway, the westbound lanes of I-20 were temporarily closed. Troopers worked to document the scene and coordinate vehicle removal. All lanes were reopened by approximately 6:10 p.m.

The Highway Patrol Division is investigating the cause of the crash.
