Talladega Co., AL – Head-On Crash on I-20 /Priebes Mill Rd Claims One Life

Talladega County, AL (January 18, 2025) – A tragic head-on collision early Friday morning, January 17, claimed the life of a 28-year-old Anniston woman. The accident occurred around 2:40 a.m. on Interstate 20 near Priebes Mill Road, less than a mile south of Oxford. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), Dazjiah K. Cunningham was driving a 2005 Toyota Camry when it collided head-on with a 2019 Volvo tractor-trailer. Authorities revealed that Cunningham was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the scene. Troopers with ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division have launched an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the accident, including potential contributing factors.
