Talladega Co., AL – Two Dead in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-20 at MM 170
Talladega County, AL (September 10, 2024) – A tragic crash on Interstate 20 in Talladega County claimed the lives of two Mississippi residents in the early hours of September 9. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA) reported that 55-year-old Troy S. Patterson and 53-year-old Eva J. Easterling were fatally injured in a two-vehicle crash near mile marker 170 in Lincoln. According to ALEA, the Ford Ranger in which Patterson and Easterling were traveling had crashed and overturned in the roadway before being struck by an SUV. The driver of the SUV, an Arkansas resident, sustained injuries and was airlifted to UAB Hospital in Birmingham for treatment. Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances leading to this tragic incident.
