Tuscaloosa, AL – Injury Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-20/59 EB/Joe Mallisham Pkwy Exit

Tuscaloosa, AL (April 20, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on the eastbound side of Interstate 20/59 left several people injured early Sunday morning, April 20, just before Exit 68 for Joe Mallisham Parkway. According to Alabama State Troopers, the crash occurred near milepost 67.5 and involved multiple vehicles during the busy morning commute. Emergency crews responded swiftly to the scene and assessed the injuries of those involved.

Several individuals were treated on-site, and transported to a nearby medical facility for further evaluation. The eastbound lanes were heavily affected for several hours while the Alabama Department of Transportation assisted with clearing the debris and restoring traffic flow. The Alabama State Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the crash and whether any traffic violations were involved.
