Warren Co., MS – Injury Crash Involving 18-Wheeler on I-20 near MM 12

Warren County, MS (December 27, 2025) – A serious two-vehicle crash involving a commercial truck and an SUV left one person injured on Thursday, December 25, in Warren County.

The collision occurred around 5:30 p.m. on Interstate 20 near the 12-mile marker, according to the Mississippi Highway Patrol. Troopers said an 18-wheeler was traveling eastbound when an SUV moving westbound left the roadway for unknown reasons.

Authorities reported that the SUV overturned before crossing into the eastbound lanes. The overturned vehicle then collided with the oncoming 18-wheeler. After the impact, the SUV came to rest on the eastbound shoulder of the interstate.

Emergency responders arrived quickly and provided medical assistance at the scene. The driver of the SUV suffered injuries that were described as serious but not fully detailed. Due to the nature of the injuries, a medical helicopter airlifted the victim to the University of Mississippi Medical Center for further treatment.

The driver of the 18-wheeler was evaluated at the scene and was not injured, according to officials. No additional vehicles were reported to be involved in the crash.
