Santo, TX – Fatal Collision Involving Two 18-Wheelers on I-20 Claims Three Lives

Santo, TX (July 10, 2023) – Three individuals tragically lost their lives in a collision between two 18-wheelers on Interstate 20 near Santo, Texas. The incident occurred on Saturday night, July 8th.

The Texas Department of Public Safety and local police arrived at the scene to assist and conduct an investigation into the crash, which took place approximately one mile west of Santo around midnight.

Based on preliminary reports from the investigation, a 2017 Freightliner hauling a Hyundai trailer was traveling eastbound when it veered across the median and collided head-on with a 2022 Freightliner, which was traveling westbound and towing a Great Dane trailer.

Regrettably, the driver of the 2017 truck, Rotimi Arijeloye, aged 46 and from Plano, as well as the second driver, Kevin Eom, aged 63 and from Perris, California, along with a passenger named Sung Moon, aged 60 and from Cypress, California, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
