Odessa, TX – Woman Seriously Injured in Suspected DUI Crash on I-20
Odessa, TX (October 24, 2025) – A woman suffered serious injuries early Monday morning, October 20, after a suspected drunk-driving crash on East Interstate 20 in Odessa.
According to the Odessa Police Department, officers were dispatched around 2:26 a.m. to the 7100 block of E I-20 after receiving a crash alert and hearing someone screaming on the line. Upon arrival, officers discovered a white 2020 Dodge Challenger with severe front-end damage.
The driver, identified as Isaac Christopher Sapien, reportedly showed multiple signs of intoxication, including red and glassy eyes, slurred speech, and a strong odor of alcohol. Police said Sapien’s sister, who was a passenger in the vehicle, sustained serious injuries in the crash and was transported for emergency medical treatment.
Sapien was arrested at the scene and faces a felony charge related to intoxication assault.
Authorities continue to investigate the circumstances leading up to this tragic incident.
