Atlanta, GA – Police Officer Involved in Crash on I-20 W, Injuries Reported

Atlanta, GA (September 9, 2025) – A Fulton County police officer was involved in a two-vehicle crash on Monday evening, September 8, along I-20 West near the Joseph E. Lowery Boulevard exit. Atlanta Police Department officials confirmed that officers were called to the expressway after reports of an accident involving the officer’s patrol unit and another unidentified vehicle. Authorities reported that no serious injuries occurred in the collision. Both drivers were evaluated at the scene, and medical personnel determined that hospitalization was not required. The vehicles involved sustained moderate damage, and crews worked to move them from the roadway.
