Bolton, MS – One Killed, One Injured in Crash on I-20 Frontage Rd

Bolton, MS (October 10, 2025) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol (MHP) is investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Thursday morning, October 9, on the Interstate 20 Frontage Road near Bolton.

According to MHP, the crash happened around 7:57 a.m. when a 2014 Mercedes, driven by 31-year-old Tashayla Kimple of Raymond, was traveling east on the frontage road. The vehicle collided with a disabled 2004 Nissan Titan that was stopped in the eastbound lane.

At the time of impact, the Nissan’s driver, 66-year-old Danny Johnson of Bolton, was standing beside his truck. The Mercedes struck both the Nissan and Johnson, fatally injuring him.

Kimple sustained injuries in the crash and was transported to Baptist Medical Center in Jackson for treatment. Her current condition has not yet been released.

The Mississippi Highway Patrol confirmed that the crash remains under investigation as troopers work to determine the contributing factors.
