Lakeview, AL – Injury Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-20/59 EB at Exit 100

Lakeview, AL (June 17, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20/59 near Exit 100 to AL-216 led to multiple injuries on the morning of June 17. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the crash occurred at mile marker 100.52 just outside Lakeview. Several vehicles were involved in the incident. First responders arrived shortly after the crash and found multiple individuals injured. At least one victim required transportation to a nearby medical facility for further treatment, while others were assessed and treated at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries. The exact number of people hurt has not been confirmed. Authorities remained at the location for an extended period to manage the scene and direct traffic.  An investigation into what caused the crash remains ongoing.
