Marshall, TX – Motorcycle Passenger Killed, Rider Injured in Crash on I-20
Marshall, TX (June 18, 2025) – A deadly crash between a motorcycle and a pickup truck early Wednesday morning, June 18, left one person dead and another injured in Harrison County. According to the Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS), the collision occurred around 4:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-20, just east of US Highway 59.
Both vehicles were heading in the same direction when the pickup truck struck the motorcycle from behind at high speed. The impact threw both individuals from the motorcycle. Sadly, the passenger died at the scene. The motorcycle’s operator was injured and taken to a nearby hospital.
Their current condition has not been released. DPS troopers responded to the scene, diverting traffic while investigators worked to determine what led to the collision. Authorities are withholding the names of those involved until families have been notified. The exact cause of the crash is still under investigation.
