Talladega Co., AL – Injuries Reported in Two-Vehicle Crash on I-20/ MM 170

Talladega County, AL (July 2, 2025) – An early morning crash involving a commercial vehicle and another car resulted in injuries along the westbound lanes of I-20 on Wednesday, July 2. According to the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the accident occurred around 5:27 a.m. near the 170-mile marker in Talladega County. Preliminary reports indicate that the crash involved a commercial truck and a second vehicle. Responding troopers from ALEA’s Highway Patrol Division closed the right westbound lane to allow for cleanup and investigative work. At least one person sustained injuries as a result of the crash. The injured party was assessed on site and transported to a nearby medical facility for further treatment. Authorities have not yet released the names of those involved. The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding the collision.
