Talladega Co., AL – Multi-Vehicle Crash on I-20/Exit 173 Leaves One Injured

Talladega County, AL (August 28, 2025) – A multi-vehicle collision on the westbound lanes of I-20 in Talladega County left at least one person injured on Thursday, August 28. The Alabama Department of Transportation confirmed that the crash occurred near Exit 173 at County Road 5 in Eastaboga, 1.7 miles east of mile marker 171.7.

Alabama State Troopers arrived at the scene and found multiple vehicles involved, with debris blocking several lanes of traffic. One individual sustained injuries during the collision and was evaluated by emergency medical personnel before being transported to a nearby hospital for further care.

Authorities have not released the identity of the injured person at this time. Investigators are still working to determine the circumstances that led to the crash, including whether speed or other factors contributed.
