Dallas, TX (August 27, 2025) – A serious accident occurred on Wednesday morning, August 27, along the eastbound lanes of I-20 at Mountain Creek Parkway, involving a Dallas County Sheriff’s squad car and a pedestrian. According to the Dallas County Sheriff’s Office, the crash happened when a sheriff’s deputy became involved in a traffic incident that also left a pedestrian injured. The pedestrian sustained a leg injury after being struck during the collision.

Emergency personnel from Dallas Fire-Rescue responded promptly and evaluated both the deputy and the pedestrian at the scene. Authorities confirmed that the pedestrian required further medical attention, though details on whether they were transported to a hospital were not immediately released.
