Atlanta, GA – Crash Between Sedan and Pickup on I-20 Leaves One Injured

Atlanta, GA (August 26, 2025) – A crash involving a sedan and a pickup truck left one person injured Tuesday afternoon, August 26, on the westbound lanes of Interstate 20 near Holmes Drive (Exit 52). According to the Georgia State Patrol,  first responders arrived quickly to find both vehicles damaged in the roadway. One individual sustained injuries that were described as non-life-threatening. After receiving initial care at the scene, the victim was later taken to a nearby hospital for further evaluation.

Traffic was heavily impacted as crews worked to move the vehicles and clear debris from the interstate. Authorities confirmed that both lanes were reopened a short time later, allowing traffic to flow normally again. Investigators with the Georgia State Patrol are working to determine the events that caused the collision.
