Coaling, AL – Crash with Injuries on I-20/59 WB at Exit 79

Coaling, AL (June 27, 2025) – A crash involving multiple vehicles on the westbound lanes of Interstate 20/59 left at least one person injured just before Exit 79: US 11/University Boulevard in Coaling. The accident occurred on the morning of June 27, near mile marker 81.12. Alabama State Troopers responded to the scene shortly after the crash was reported and worked to secure the area while assisting those involved. Emergency medical services assessed the injured individuals on-site, with at least one person transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The severity of the injuries has not yet been released to the public. According to initial findings by the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency (ALEA), the cause of the crash remains under active investigation.
