Lakeview, AL – Crash on I-20 near MM 95.6 Ends in Injuries

Lakeview, AL (March 6, 2023) – The Alabama Law Enforcement Agency responded to the scene of an automobile accident that took place in the Lakeview area on Sunday morning and ended in injuries.

Calls for assistance came in just after 6:00 a.m. on March 5.

According to officials, a collision between vehicles blocked the eastbound lanes of Interstate 20 near mile marker 95.6. Authorities rushed to the scene of the accident and closed off the roadway just prior to Exit 97 as they worked to clear the scene.

ALEA and area firefighters worked to remove debris from the roadway and called for tow trucks to remove the damaged vehicles.

At least one person suffered injuries and had to be transported to a local hospital for medical care.

The crash remains under investigation at this time.
